5 Facial Masks to Get an Instant Glow

If need an instant glow to your face and do not have the time for a salon appointment, these facial masks are perfect for the job. Each mask is different and unique designed to provide specific results.

Every now and then our faces need a lift, that little extra something, which will give it a nice glow. If you’re stressed out with work and need to rush out for a party in the evening, try out some of these recipes to give your skin a sun-kissed glow. Be sure to do a patch test before trying any of these masks to check for sensitivity or reaction.

Orange Yoghurt Mask

Take the juice of one orange and combine it with half a cup of yoghurt. This mask is high in AHAs, which work to gently remove dull, lifeless skin. Yoghurt is soothing on the skin and contains lactic acid, which helps in skin exfoliation. Orange juice is rich in vitamin C, which helps brighten your skin. You could even apply the mask over your body and leave it on for 10 minutes before showering off. You’d be left with smooth, radiant skin!

Clove Mint Mask

This mask not only invigorates and brightens the skin but also removes blemishes dramatically. One single session of applying this mask will leave you with dramatically brighter skin with lesser noticeable spots. Take 3 cloves, 6-7 fresh mint leaves and make this into a powder. Combine 1 teaspoon of chickpea flour and a little bit of water, just enough to make this into a thin paste. Apply this mask and leave it on for 15 minutes. Your skin will start feeling taut at, which point you need to rinse it off with lukewarm water. Finish off with a toner and moisturizer.

Milk Honey Mask

Honey and milk are a tested combination in beauty masks. The lactic acid in milk works to exfoliate dead skin cells while the honey moisturizes the skin. Combine a teaspoon of milk and half a teaspoon of warm honey. Mix the two and apply on clean, dry face. Keep the mask on for 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water.

Oatmeal Milk Mask

This mask is very easy to prepare and provides dramatic results in a very short time. Blend in a cup of oatmeal (you can use the instant cooking kind) along with a quarter cup of milk. Blend till it becomes a paste. Apply this paste on your skin in circular motions and leave on for 10 minutes. Wash off with tepid water. This mask doubles up as an exfoliating and nourishing mask, thereby providing your skin dual benefits.

Olive oil Egg Mask

This mask has the consistency of mayonnaise but it is amazing for your skin. To make this mask you need half a cup of olive oil and one egg. Pour the egg into a bowl along with the yolk. Then you will need to add in the olive oil gradually in a fine stream, while mixing the ingredients all the time. You will soon notice that the mixture starts to thicken just like mayonnaise. Apply this mask over your entire face, avoiding the eye region. If you want extra boost, apply the egg white only to the under eye region. This helps reduce fine lines in that area. Once the mask starts to dry, take a wet towel and gently wipe off the mask. Rinse off with warm water.

All these masks are completely natural and based on herbal ingredients. They are easy to make as they combine commonly found ingredients in the kitchen. If you are in a hurry and need to look good in an instant, these masks are perfect for that.
